FINAL SCORE:
Sharks..........................6
Tantamount FC...........1
After an enforced week off, the Mount would have been forgiven for being a little off the pace. With this in mind and the added issue of the ever dreaded back-to-back games, Pilch broke with tradition and went with an eight man squad. Disgraced former captain Sam and Ollie were welcomed back into the side, whilst the team was further bolstered by Noakesy making his first appearance of the season.

To the Sharks surprise they weren't having things all their own way as they had done four weeks previously in the 7-0 thrashing. The Mount chopped and changed things in the first half with all seven outfielders getting a taste of the action - Pilch and then Noakes were composed at the back, Sam was his usual tenacious self on the right, and Ryan worked tirelessly up front. The quality of the team in green eventually shone through as they found the time and space to knock two goals past Spence with the half winding down.
Two early goals in the second killed the game off completely, with some slack positioning giving Sharks space to place their shots. In between these goals Ryan hit a fine effort which beat the keeper only to hit the post, roll along the line and smack the other post. He wasn't to be denied moments later, getting on the end of a fine Ollie pass and pushing under the diving keeper to make the score 4-1.

Sharks got goals 5 and 6, the fifth a well-placed effort into the top corner. Not a great day at the office for the Tantas - although they showed some good football, their ex-Division One opponents used their superior finishing to secure what turned out to be a comprehensive victory.
