FINAL SCORE:
Sunday Session.............12
Tantamount FC.................0
Report by Michael Pilcher

The Tanta's were taught a serious lesson in the art of finishing by a team described as one of the best in the league. Session didn't have any substitutes but they didn't need any as a confident side unleashed shot after shot and attack after attack. There were some decent efforts in amongst the eight that rattled in before half-time, including many peaches from their lanky left-back who could blast and place his shots simulateously.  Spencer did deny them with some good blocks but similarly could have prevented a couple of their long range efforts.
Pilcher came back on for the second half for a brief reappearance and could have scored twice. Firstly he intercepted a loose pass and a first-time effort  narrowly whistled past the post. A minute later he dispossessed a defender on the edge of the box but was bundled over just as he shot. James Rose again made some good runs and Ryan looked effective but was denied by an aggressive and fast-paced Sunday Session. The second half thankfully didn't follow the first too closely but Session still chalked up four more goals.

An absolute pasting in the end, which would have been worse had the opposition not gone easy on the lads in the latter stages.

Manager's Comments:
"There's not too much you can say about your worst ever defeat. At least we had some shots this game - I wasn't far off scoring the team's first ever  goal which would have been something to remember, but it just didn't happen. The scoreline was a little flattering, but in fairless to them their finishing was class and, at this stage of the season, we just couldn't cope with it."
