FINAL SCORE:
Sunday Session.............10
Tantamount FC.................0
Report by Michael Pilcher

No-one can be sure exactly what the final score was, but it was probably in double figures. A tired looking Mount played a one back, one up front and two wherever-they-wanted formation against a side that beaten the Mount 12-0 a fortnight ago.

Spencer kept the score down with some decent saves whilst Charman, foraging on his own up front, twice came close to opening the scoring. Snatching onto a rebound he struck straight at the keeper, while another effort was also saved. Formation-wise the team were all over the place and allowed classy opposition chance after chance.

Manager's Comments:
"They're a very good team and it's hard to imagine that they're only 3rd. I think when we next play them in the league we'll just play a 4-0-0 formation and try and stifle them as much as possible! We'll definitely have to wear away shirts, we made a lot of loose passes, many of which I would attibute to the fact that both teams wearing similar colours.

They took the game a lot more seriously then we did and half the time we had one player defending. Positively, James made some very good saves and some of us got a full match behind us - Sam played the whole match up front and was unlucky with a couple of chances. We weren't looking to get anything and made no attempts to keep the score down, but it was a useful fitness exercise."
