Today the president of the Continental Congress declared that a new Constitution has been drafted and sent to Congress for printing and discussion. The C.C., which has been in session since May 25, has been at work steadily for the past 4 months trying to replace the Articles of Confederation, which has been our primary "Constitution" up until now. We must now wait to see if the Constitution will be ratified by the minimum 9 states.




June 21, 1788


Today, the final convention was held and the Constitution has been ratified. The 13 colonies are now united under a single government and one flag, together we are known as the United States of America. We must now fight to control our independence.
