Job Descriptions

Special Teams Squadron Commander, (ST/CC), Auth. Grade: C/Major
Supervises the Corps Color Guard Commander, Drill Team Commander, Physical Fitness Team Commander, Self-Defense Team Commander, Aeronautics Team Commander, and Awareness Presentation Team Commander; is a member of the Unit Staff.

Responsible For:

  1. Assuming command of the Unit in the absence of the Cadet Corps Commander and the Deputy Commander.
  2. Planning and coordinating AFJROTC co-curricular activities.
  3. Short and long range planning of all scheduled activities to include Color Guard, Drill Team, APT / Recruiting performances, field trips, and competitions.
  4. Coordinating and maintaining Unit Calendar of all future co-curricular activities.
  5. Ensuring appropriate school policies are compiled with during scheduled cadet activities.
  6. Coordinating the weekly publication and posting of the Unit Operations Orders to include all known scheduled activities and uniform requirements. Ops orders will normally be posted on the Unit bulletin board by COB (Close of Business) Thursday.
  7. Performing other duties as assigned by the Unit Commander or ASI/AASI.

Special Teams First Sergeant, (ST/CCF), Auth. Grade: C/SMSgt
Is a member of the unit staff.

Responsible For:

  1. Keeping the Special Teams Squadron Commander informed of drill, uniform wear, and conduct of cadets on special teams / clubs.
  2. Enforcing AFJROTC regulations on uniform wear and care and standards of conduct, customs, and courtesies.
  3. Maintaining a high degree of personal military bearing and appearance. Serves as an example for the cadet corps.
  4. Performing other duties as assigned by the Unit Commander or ASI/AASI.
