(1) an original representational image of any member (or members) of the original seven member Authority: Jenny Sparks, Shen Li-Men, Jack Hawksmmore, Dr. Angie Spica, Apollo & the Midnighter. (No abstract representations of Shen's libido, or any other character, please!). Action scenes, quiet moments, pin ups are all okay. If it's a group shot, like feel free to throw in other cast members, like Jenny Quantum, Dr. Kriegstein, their enemies, what have you.

(2) An original story featuring any member (or members) of the Authority: Jenny Sparks, Shen Li-Men, Jack Hawksmoor, Angie Spica, Ph.d, Apollo, the Midnighter or Jeroen the Doctor. The story may be from the viewpoint of an Authority villain or other characters, but at least one member of the original seven member Authority must figure prominently in the story.

(3) An original essay on any aspect of the the Ellis/Millar Authority. Whatever the subject, be it the book's political content, satire elements, the sexuality of the characters, whatever; reasoned argument, clarity of style style, and references are important elements in this category.

Important! All entries are due no later than 6:00 AM PST, Sunday May 13, 2001 (This was extended to 6:00 AM, May 16, 2001.). Absolutely no entries will be accepted after that date and time.

Microsoft Word Documents or high quality .jpeg images are the preferred forms of entry. If my word processing software cannot open or translate your document easily, or your original artwork is too large to fit on a scanner platen, you may well be out of luck. I can make no guarantees in this regard.

Unless the THREE finalists can come to an agreement over who gets what, an unseen and unsupervised coin tosses will decide the matter. And unless the winners can come to an agreement over who gets what via email, an unseen and unsupervised coin tosses will decide the matter. (The best I can do for what is essentially an informal affair - you're just going to have to trust me on this).

Oh yeah. I'm covering the postage for the prizes. Duh!
