Kobe Conference 2000

May 31st - June 2nd, 2000

Do you have your list?  Have you checked it twice?
Are you already wondering who will be naughty and who will be... naughtier?

Well, here's some info to keep you informed as to what's going to be happening in Kobe.....
(Conference-wise, you sickoes!)

1. There will be a meeting for Block 5 on the last day of the conference. We will be discussing stuff that concerns all AJET members, so please find the time to come and listen in, put in your 2 yen's worth, or debate the minutia of each point, although we can't be held responsible for the actions of all those hungry JETs if you insist upon the last. You can meet the AJET Reps from Block 5 (Aichi, Gifu, Mie, Nagano & Shizuoka) as well as your new Block 5 Rep, Roy.

2. Aichi AJET has booked the Asian Kitchen for all new AJET members who sign up at the conference.
We're talking with the other kens in our block about making it a Block 5- thing.
YEAH! All you can eat and drink for about 3,500 yen and lasting for a few hours. Call Kathy MacRae and keep you eyes open for Aichi AJET handouts at the conference for more details.
Afterwards is partying the night away in Kobe, legendary for its late-night laciviousness, and Mie-ken is trying to look into good venues. Again - YEAH!

3. This is the time to get your AJET membership for next year! This year we're building on the strong base established by last year's crew and offering you more benefits than ever! Along with repeats like Take-Nagoya-By-Storm and Sports Day, we're also planning a sumo basho blast in Nagoya, camping in the wilds of inaka country, stargazing in the mountains, forays into other kens.... we've gots tonnes o' ideas knockin' around in our heads, and we'd love to hear yours!
All our events are advertised through our monthly publication of
The JetStream, available only to AJET members. Plus, AJET members get Front-of-the-Line Service (hey if Visa can do it, so can we!). This means that for events with limited space, priority is given to AJET members. Other benefits include National AJETs newsletter, AJET Across Japan, membership in Tatami Timeshare and the opportunity to meet JETs from other prefectures easily through Block 5 events!
Now, here's the great deal we're offering! If you sign up at the Kobe Conference, you are
guarranteed a discount!
Renewing JETs who were AJET members this year pay only 2,000 yen for Prefectural and 2,000 yen for National AJET.
Renewing JETs who are joining AJET for the first time pay 3,000 yen for Prefectural and 2,000 yen for National AJET.
