Hollywood Cemetery
Richmond, Virginia

Situated on the beautiful James River, Hollywood Cemetery is a jewel in the history-seeped crown of Richmond. The cemetery was founded in 1847 and the first plot was purchased in 1849. A century and a half of burials has brought within the cemeteries confines many notables including two U.S. presidents, James Monroe and John Tyler, and the president of the Confederacy Jefferson Davis. A pyramind memorializes the many Confederate dead buried here. The cemetery, in addition to housing a wealth of history, is also extremely lovely.
