Profiler brain teaser

# 1: Bailey Malone has been called a lot of names. However, which of the following nick names is not from the series?

  1. Mr. FBI
  2. Rattle Snake
  3. Superdad
  4. The Man Who Wrote the Book
  5. King of the VCTF

Number five is not from the series. Frances has called Bailey Superdad and Mr. FBI, John referred to Bailey as Rattle Snake and Nathan called Bailey The Man Who Wrote the Book.

# 2: Over the years, Sam brought some very interesting things to our attention. But, which trivia can we not attribute to her?

  1. The virtues of lotuses
  2. Protean features
  3. EMDR (eye movement desensitivisation reprocessing)
  4. Chameleons
  5. Nietzsche's views on what people search in life

The answer: EMDR, which is something Bailey explained to us in "Ties That Bind". Sam discussed the virtues of lotuses in "Dying To Live", mentioned protean features in reference to Ashok Dupree ("AITB's" NOTW), told Chloe what chameleons were in "I'll Be Watching You" and finally, she shared Nietzsche views in "Ties That Bind".

# 3: Which is of the following does not hold water when it comes to John?

  1. He used to play ice hockey.
  2. He drinks herbal tea occasionally.
  3. He was born in Boston.
  4. He applied to four different law inforcement agencies.
  5. His real last name is not Grant.

Option number four, boys and girls! In "Unsoiled Sovereignty" Bailey tells John he's never before met a man who applied to eight different law inforcement agencies. Whew!

# 4: We all know that assessing commonality between victims goes a long way in profiling the perpretrator. Let's take a different approach: what is the commonality between these episodes of Profiler?

  1. Three Carat Crisis
  2. FTX: Field Training Exercise
  3. Breaking Point
  4. Crisis
  5. Ceremony Of Innocence

Solution: all of these episodes have a time constraint factor under which the team must resolve the situation.

# 5: The VCTF sure knew their famous people. Nonetheless, who of the following wasn't mentioned in the show?

  1. Leonardo da Vinci
  2. Rene Descartes
  3. Adolf Hitler
  4. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
  5. William Shakespeare

Number two, Rene Descartes. Leonardo da Vinci was mentioned in "Film At Eleven" among others, Bailey referred to Hitler in "Ties That Bind" and he also listened to Mozart in "Victims Of Victims", so did Angel in "Doppelganger". Shakespeare quotes were left behind by the perp in "Insight".

# 6: Profiler animals, folks! Or exotic animals, to be more specific. ;) Which animal on the list was never mentioned on the show?

  1. Frogs.
  2. Giraffes.
  3. Panthers.
  4. Snakes.
  5. Elephants.

The correct answer is elephants. Frogs and snakes were the NOTW's deadly accomplices in "Venom", Sam and Chloe discussed giraffes in "Primal Scream" and panther is Sam's animal spirit guide.

# 7: Can you remember Profiler drinks? Pick out the one drink on the list that wasn't mentioned in the series.

  1. Manhattan.
  2. Bailey's Irish Cream.
  3. Margaritas.
  4. Scotch.
  5. Red wine.

It's Bailey's Irish Cream. Marcus ordered a Manhattan at the Cavendish Hotel bar in "Every Five Minutes" and told us in "Jack Be Nimble, Jack Be Quick" that he enjoys Margaritas. Bailey goes to his Scotch for spiritual guidance and in his own words, drinks red wine with everything.

# 8: You might not have realised it, but our wonderful Profiler characters have few things in common. Nevertheless, which alternative is not right?

  1. Sam and Chloe both danced ballet
  2. Boxing is an interest of both John's and Bailey's
  3. George and Sam love chocolate
  4. Grace and Marcus both enjoy Margaritas
  5. Both Sam and Grace have no siblings
Number five. While Sam has no siblings, Grace mentions having a sister in "It Cuts Both Ways". George gives Sam his chocolate bar in "Unholy Alliance", we've seen Bailey boxing in a few episodes and John's boxing is revealed in "Bloodlust", Grace and Marcus bond over Margaritas in "Jack Be Nimble, Jack Be Quick" and "Modus Operandi" tells us Sam used to dance ballet, while Chloe still does.

  3. Bailey loves New York, as it is full of paranoids and people like Farrarini
  4. Grace's family lives in New York
  5. Angel's art school took her to New York for a while

  1. Ralph Mazey
  2. Arnold Steeble
  3. Robin Poole

  2. "The Good Morrow" by John Donne
  3. "The Second Coming" by W.B. Yeats
  4. "Romeo and Juliet" by William Shakespeare
  5. "The Tiger" by William Blake
Number five wasn't mentioned by the characters. Bailey quotes stanzas from "The Raven" and "The Good Morrow", Yeats' "The Second Coming" has influenced the title of the third season episode "Ceremony Of Innocence", and "Insight's" perp left Shakespeare quotes behind.
