(Sam gives Bailey her letter of resignation)
Bailey: "I don't suppose it'd do anything to tear this up."
Sam: "No. I'm going to be with Chloe full-time now. It's what she needs... it's what I need. I'm not really leaving you in the lurch you know, Rachel's good. (she hands Bailey three letters) Could you give these to Grace, George and John for me, I was gonna, uh.. I don't know." (gazes at him very intently. He realises it and looks up to her. She nods twice.)
Bailey: "Sam... (he steps towards her and they hug) Where are you going to go?"
Sam: "Uh, I'm not sure." (she breaks their hug)
Bailey: "You'll let me know, right?"
Sam: (smiling) "Sure." (walks out of her office but turns on the other side of the glass to look at Bailey. The phone on her desk starts ringing. Bailey ignores it for a long time. Finally he turns and answers it. Sam walks away.) *sob*
