Bailey: "25 thousand dollars in cash, 250 grand in collateral. What are you doing Sam?"
Sam: "Tom had a pension fund at the university, it's money I never think about."
Bailey: "I can't accept this, Sam, I can't let you do this."
Sam: "It's done, alright, I already did it. You needed it, I had it. It's okay."
Bailey: "Yeah. I don't know how to thank you."
Sam: "You don't have to. What's happening with the case?"
Bailey: "Looks like Serena found out a way to go over the assistant D.A:s head, worked out a plea bargain to give Frances probation."
Sam: "Well that's great."
Bailey: "Well there's a catch. She needs a sworn affidavit about what happened that morning. Morning I was shot. I never spoke about it before, never told you, never told anyone. I was getting ready for work. I noticed my gun safe was open. I knew Frances had the gun. So I went to her room and confronted her and then there was yelling and she was crying and praying I would...I honestly don't believe she meant to shoot me, Sam. I think it just went off."
Sam: "But if they find out she broke into your gun safe, that you argued, she's not gonna get probation because the shooting's gonna look pre-meditated."
Bailey: "Tell the whole truth, Frances goes to jail. Lie, then I validate the kind of shaky morality... I don't know what to do."
Sam: "You will. When the time comes, you'll know what to do."

Sam: "Bailey. Bailey! Do you want me to go with you?"
Bailey: "No, it's okay."

Sam: "Hey! How did it go?"
Bailey: "We worked it out. I hope I did the right thing."
Sam: "Well, you'll make it right."
