MEDICINAL USE
In folk medicine eucalyptus is used to treat asthma,
gastric complaints, incipient scarlet fever and worm infestation.

Studies show that eucalyptol can kill some influenza viruses.

It is approved by the U.S. Food/Drug Administration
(FDA) as a cold and flu remedy.

Of a flu-like condition; the oil is rubbed on the abdomen
for stomachaches and on the forehead for headaches.
Grated nutmeg seed, combined with eucalyptus oil,
is used to relieve diarrhea.

....and joints, their traditional use for relieving
headaches has not been researched previously.
Such preparations, usually containing;
peppermint, eucalyptus and other oils are rubbed
on the temples, forehead and other areas
to relieve headache pain.

Most eucalyptus medications are made
from the greenish-yellow oil obtained from mature leaves.

Oil or lozenges and cough drops are made from it,
useful for; lung diseases, colds and sore throat.

Use as a vapor bath for asthma and other respiratory
ailments, and as an anticeptic bath additive.

Expectorant properties useful for bronchitis.
Inhale steam to help bronchitis and asthma.
