Sad
news. A dear and loved friend died on Thursday, Ray Rice. He was very
special to Christopher and myself, and even though we hadn't caught up in
many years, he was often on our minds. Christopher and i were just a
couple of naive 19year olds when we met Ray, and he showed us a side of
life, and ourselves, that we didn't know. This was the mid 80s, so
it also involved huge quantities of drugs and dance parties. He showed us
how to binge on amphetamines without getting too messy. Taught us the
importance of avoiding alcohol when you are dropping E. Introduced
Shane Ryan and Bruce Erinburgh. Little lessons that have held us in good
stead for many years since.
