Bujoy (Jolina Magdangal) has always been regarded as one of the boys. She is not as pretty as her mother and two other sisters, doesn’t dress as well, and is not as feminine. But that’s the least of her worries. Her problem is that she is secretly in love with her childhood bestfriend, Ned (Marvin Agustin) who sees her as anything but a girl and is so absorbed in his own problems to take notice of anything around him.
They have been friends for as long as they can remember. So close are they that they have a ladder to connect their bedrooms such that he can go to her room directly without anyone having to know about it. Lately, however, she began to feel something different for him that can only be called love. But she cannot tell him about it, much less give him a hint.
Ned, on the other side, is very preoccupied with the band he has formed and the song he is writing. He wants to prove to his family whom he has always regarded as unambitious and a bunch of losers, that he can and will be somebody someday. He just has one small problem: he cannot finish the song which is supposed to be his masterpiece. And the audition date for an in-house band in a cool bar is getting near. At a loss, his co-band members advise him to find an inspiration.
Like an answer to prayer, Mary Anne (Vanessa del Bianco), Bujoy’s old classmate, arrives in Baguio and into Ned’s life. Quite accidentally, she is almost everything that Bujoy is not: pretty and feminine which makes Ned think that she may be the inspiration he has been waiting for. However, the feeling is not quite mutual. So, he employs Bujoy’s help to get close to Mary Anne. The three of them go on group dates. While Mary Anne and Ned are having fun, Bujoy is left in one corner eating her heart out. One time, Cenon (Gio Alvarez), the newest member of the band and the only one who seems to acknowledge the girl in Bujoy, does Ned a favor. As payment, he asks Ned to help him be close to Bujoy. Not seeing anything wrong with it, Ned agrees.
Everything looks okay on the surface. However, problems start coming as each of the four lovers starts to realize that the match is not quite correct.
But until when will these young lovers deceive themselves and continue ignoring what they really feel? First, they will have to face and resolve whatever differences each of them may have with his or her own life. Otherwise, they are bound to continue suffering the pain of being paired with the person they don’t love, and having to court their loved one for their bestfriend.
