Directed by Jerry Lopez Sineneng, Kung Ayaw Mo, Huwag Mo brings back the hit tandem of Maricel soriano and William Martinez as long-lost-lovers reconciled through a secret plan hatched up by Jolina Magdangal and Marvin Agustin (today's hottest young loveteam).
Early on, a few weeks before the movie opened in Metro Manila, it was very evident that the Maricel-William followers had been anticipating the two stars' reconciliation.
There was a big crowd at the SM Fairview when Kung Ayaw Mo, Huwag Mo held a Fans Day where prizes were distributed among lucky winners. Fans had a field day just talking with their favorites (Maricel, William, Jolina and Marvin) and/or getting their autographs and posing for souveneir photos with them.
The movie's premiere at the SM Cinema Megamall two days before the formal opening in Metro theaters was attended by an SRO crowd which cheered the stars from beginning to end, having the time of their lives.
Due to the enthusiastic public reaction to Maricel's long-awaited return to big-screen comedy (her sitcom with Cesar Montano, ABS-CBN's Kaya ni Mister, Kaya ni Misis, is a consistent top-rater), Star Cinema is now planning to cast her opposite the Redford White and Babalu tandem which was a hit in another recent Star Cinema movie, Haba-Baba-Doo! Puti-Puti-Poo!
