Youth and Innocence
When I put a face on innocence, it is a child’s face that I see. But in today’s society not every will see the image that I see
There ahs been a black cloud put over out heard in the pat decade or so, and maybe for good reason. From kids shooting one another in schools, to kids shooting their own family. I know we all wish we could know exactly why this happens but we do not. Maybe its because violence is so glorified through the media, music and the movie industry. And even through state sanctioned executions.
It could be that some feel that the state has given up on its youth. Because , the state is creating a new motto for youthful offenders. “ If you commit a violent crime, we will seek the ultimate punishment.!”
They no longer care about today’s youth. They shut down schools because they cannot keep money to fund school and teachers. They would rather spend money to house and kill a teenager or an adult who has been sent to death row, rather than stopping the executions and putting money into the school system. And, we are talking about a lot of money.
Is killing a child more important than saving his life, saving all that money and using it to save countless lives by putting that money into the schools ? Commonsense tells me no!
Southing has to be done about restoring faith back into America’s youth. The innocence is not lost, it is being hidden by the blindfold that the state has chosen to put on, so that they can sleep at night knowing that they have sent a child to die. But, they say it is the laws, well, then, change the law.
A ten year old boy shot and killed another youth here recently, and the news reporter stated that the stated that the state has not decided whether they were going to charge him as an adult or as a juvenile. How do you even think about it ? This is a ten year old child, who has his whole life before him. Instead of automatically wanting to get him help and rehabilitation, they anticipate on charging him as an adult and putting this child into an adult prison.
Granted, he did a terrible thing, but not so terrible to destroy a child’s innocence and life !
Help save America’s you and keep their innocence in tact.
Thank you
