I dropped by the launch
on the 10th on my way to South Padre Island. I got back a few days ago,
and this is the first chance I had to post my launch report. I attended the launch from 10:15 to 11:30. I launched my StormCaster camera rocket 3 times on D12-5 motors. The 3 launches were great, except that the parachute did not deploy on the third launch. The rocket suffered some damage, which I have already repaired. The camera should have taken 12 pictures during the 3 flights, but it only contained 2 pictures when I checked it after the last flight. I enjoyed watching the other rockets launching. There's something about being "up close and personal" with small model rockets versus watching high power rockets launching from a distance. I took pictures of almost every launch until 11:30 when I left. I posted the pictures at http://www.flickr.com/photos/7378662@N03/sets/72157600005841937/ I am trying out Flickr.com for storing pictures. It has some nice features such as slideshows and full-res viewing. I will probably use Flickr in the future for archiving pictures. Dave Hein NAR 86276, Level 1 |
