| This website is my tribute to the late but wonderful River Phoenix. I hope that I am doing my part in keeping his memory alive. He was not only an exceptionally talented actor, but also an amazing human being. His efforts to preserve wildlife and his action against cruelty towards animals will always be remembered. | On Sunday, August 23rd, near Meteolius, Oregon at 12:03pm, River Jude Bottom was born to John and Arlyn Bottom. He spent most of his childhood in poverty. The year 1979 was very significant for many reasons, it was the year River and his sister Rain started perfroming at local talent shows and as a result, they were noticed by Paramount Studios. The Bottoms also changed their family name to Phoenix during the course of that year. Remember River HOME |
