Here it is in all its filth and glory, the new EP from Acrimonious Anguish, "Beat Your Meat For Metal". Following a two-year gap since the last CD
, this is a masterwork of METAL, MELODY and MEAT. While we were originally aiming to change the sound of the band in favour of a more "emotional" direction, this CD throws that out of the window in favour of REAL METAL FOR REAL MEN (as Manowar might put it). The first song (intro) on the EP is the most brutal sounding track we have ever written! This isn't to say it doesn't have any emotional content though, just listen to the choruses... You'll have heard most of the songs before if you've ever been to one of our gigs or if you own Foverer Painful Stab-wound of Hurt but they are ten times better this time round. The difference between Stab-wound and BYMFM is staggering in both terms of content and sound quality. Although still recorded on 4-track, it has been mixed better and this shows quite easily from the first listen.

This demo was released on 29th April 2002. It came in a limited edition of 15 copies featuring a full colour booklet with lyrics and full colour back cover. A promotional version was also distributed at gigs, this had no cover but had a black and white printed label with tracks listed.

The limited version also includes a secret track, "Jonathan King". This was written by Adam Carruthers, Alex Markham and Simeon Musgreave. It features Adam on Vocals and Guitar, Alex on Vocal
s/Guitar/Bass/Drums and Sim on Vocals and Guitar.

The demo was recorded on a 4-track portastudio over a period between September 2001 - April 2002. Most of the songs on this demo have developed considerably since the original recording so it is not a good reflection of our current sound.
