Hi-Hat Harry (Ronny Verduyn) Harry drummed his way into Joey's Boogie Band in 1996 and into the Smoky Midnight Gang in 1998. He continues to provide both groups with that great harmony back beat of his, a corner stone to be relied on at all times high and low. And, of course, his solo performance is an act not to be missed! Behind this big powerful noise, the bobbing anchor of rhythm, we find a quiet, dark-haired handsome man who has only one thing to say about the music he plays: "It's pure emotion! It can't be put into words." Before Harry was himself converted to swing, he played heavier Rock and Blues tunes in the band 'Red Rooster'. When he is not out touring with the band, rehearsing or recording, Harry spends his time making 'new' antique furniture. He is truly an artist in more ways than one. "It's just life," says Harry about the antique furniture business, shrugging
his shoulders with aloof demureness. But when you see Hi-Hat Harry on stage,
behind his darling set, there is no doubt about what really turns him on…
