Chapter Two: | |||||
"Well, here it is. The Ocean City Convention Center. Wow, it's so big. Can we go now?" Sarah complained as Ali drove up to the Center. "No, we cannot go. Something tells me that we have to go inside." "Oh, Ali, you and your 'somethings,' they're getting annoying," Spring said. "I don't care. I'm going inside. If you want to stay here, then stay here. But I am NOT leaving the keys so you can drive away on me, so if you don't wanna fry because of no AC, then stay here," Ali said, stepping out of the car. "We're coming, we're coming. But I swear, if you get one more of these 'somethings,' then I'm going to kill you dead." The three friends walked into the lobby of the Convention Center, and Ali walked over to a ticket counter. "Excuse me, but I was just wondering if you can confirm or deny a runor I heard. I heard the Backstreet Boys were coming here, sometime in the next two weeks. Is this true?" The girl behind the window leaned close to it, and said quietly, almost inaudibly, "Actually, yes, the group IS coming here, a week from today. The concert will be their last concert of this year, and the tickets go onsale tomorrow morning at ten AM. If you want to go and get good seats, then I suggest you not tell anyone about it, it's supposed to be a surprise concert. I do believe that the Backstreet Boys are also on their way to Ocean City as we speak, for a vacation. But the tickets go onsale tomorrow, and only here, no Ticketmaster locations, nowhere but here." "Thank you," Ali said as her friends approached her. "What was that all about?" Spring asked. "Umm, nothing. Hey, would you guys wanna go out tonight? To, say, Club Embers?" Ali knew she could ditch her friends and get to the Convention Center, at around midnight, to wait for the tickets. If her friends would go. And since Club Embers was right next to the Convention Center, Ali could park her car there and bring her cell phone if her friends should need her for something. "Club Embers! Sure!" Sarah replied. YES! Ali thought while smiling. These two weeks are gonna be the best two weeks of my life, I can taste it. ******************************************** "Hey, Nick, you unpacked yet?" Kevin yelled from his room. Nick was slightly unpacked, but was still staring at the Mystery Girl's picture. "Uhh, yeah," he replied. "Then let's go. A.J. and I want to go shopping, Howie wants to look for girls, and Brian wants to go to the arcade. We're all going to the Boardwalk, what do you want to do?" If this girl's here, then what would she be doing? She seems like a typical girl, she'd be shopping, that's what she'd be doing, Nick thought. "I'm thinking shopping. I need a new Nike shirt." "Don't you have enough of those?" "No one could have enough Nike shirts, espically green ones. And I wanna check out the girls buying bikinis!" Kevin rlled his eyes and said, "Carter, get your horny mind out of the gutter." "Why? I'm on vacation, I'm allowed to think like that." "Nicky, you always think like that," Howie complained. Their group was sharing a condo, a block away from the Boardwalk. "Whatever. Let's go," Nick complained. ******************************************** "Kev, I'm bored," Nick whined, as they stepped into another store. "So? Nick, go check out the girls buying bikinis, like you said you would," Kevin said, getting annoyed with his bandmate. "Fine," Nick huffed as he walked over to where the bikini display was set up. When he got there, his mouth dropped, and he took off his sunglasses in shock. Oh my God, she is here, Nick thought as he stared at a short brunette girl. Oh my Lord, what do I do now? That IS her, I know it. What do I do now? Oh my God, for the first time in my life, I have no idea what to say to a girl, Nick thought as the girl grabbed a hunter green bikini and went to the dressing room. Nick was so in shock that he finally found her again, he couldn't move. After a few minutes, she came out of the dressing room, holding the bathing suit. She walked to the register, not noticing Nick standing there, she seemed pre-occupied for some reason. After paying for the suit, she began to walk out the door, and Nick realized she was leaving and he might never see her again. "Wait!" he shouted, making her stop dead in her tracks. |
