Kelso Goes To The Movies

from Teen Tribute magazine

It's probably going to be the best show on the air - no, 'probably' is an understatement." That's what Ashton Kutcher said about That '70s Show a few days before it premiered. Kutcher plays the lovable bell- bottomed Kelso.

Whether or not it's the best show on the air is debatable, but it's definitely a hit. In fact, the network has renewed the show's contract through to 2002. Kelso is evidently a lot smarter in real life.

And like a lot of his TV contemporaries, Kutcher is adding movie-making to his résumé, appearing in no less than four films before next summer.

All this from someone who went from Homestead, Iowa to New York to Europe to Los Angeles, in a little over one year.

Quotables
ON MAKING MOVIES:
"It's about finding the right script, and finding the time to do it." ON FUTURE ROLES:
"I definitely don't want to be stuck in the Pretty Boy category because that means you'll only get romantic leads and I want to go beyond that. I want to be a great character actor."
ON OVERNIGHT SUCCESS:
"I don't believe that good things come to those who wait. I think good things come to those who want something so bad they can't sit still."
