Letter Thief Rules
Letter Thief is a word game for one or two players. Normal Game Player 1 (Red) and Player 2 (Black) each draw 8 letters that are hidden on the red & black tiles at each side of the playing board. If the mouse pointer is a hand there is a letter in that square that can be dragged. If the mouse pointer is an arrow then there is no letter in that square. Player 1 draws from the left side and Player 2 from the right side. All letters are dragged to the bottom centre boxes. Each player in turn tries to make a word from his/her available letters. Words may be played anywhere on the playing surface. There is no need to connect them. A player may use his/her opponents letters to complete a word. This should be done with care as the opponent will score a point for each of their letters used. As well as making a word a player may also add letters to any other word already played, thus making a new word. Once a player completes his word both players select new letters (if necessary) to bring their letters back up to 8. The second player then has his her turn. If a player has no vowels or cannot make a word he/she forfiets his/her turn but can draw two more letters from the pile. After 10 words have been completed the number of red and black letters are counted. The player with the most letters (not words) is the winner. Advanced Game Tiles are drawn as for normal game. Words however must be connected as in Scrabble or a crossword puzzle. |
