CHURCHES CYCLE RIDE
13th SEPTEMBER 2003


The Sponsored Bike Ride this year is coming soon. Forms will be available shortly for this event. Please give this some thought and consider whether you can participate. Remember our church will receive half the amount raised by our cyclists. Help will also be needed to make sure our church is manned on the day. A list for this help will be put in each church nearer the date.

Well, it’s that time of year again when we start to think of the bike ride. Sponsor forms will be available soon. The date for this year is Saturday, 13th September, 2003. Let it be the year when we have some different people taking part; it really is a lovely day out. As you may remember, two of our congregation rode from Ely Cathedral to All Saints’. (I know they are already planning their route for this year). They got a well-deserved mention in the Friends of Essex Churches Annual Review and Accounts. I quote: “Without a doubt, the heroes of last year’s Ride and Walk were John Coleman and David Millin from All Saints’, Shrub End, who cycled from Ely Cathedral back to their church in Colchester and raised over £1,000.”

Come on all you “would-be cyclists”, oil those bikes and stretch those legs, and take part!
