Born on June 29, 1934 in Cleveland, Ohio, Corey Allen had a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre in UCLA. He started out his career as an actor and was often cast as young, tough teenagers, most notably in the role Buzz in Rebel Without A Cause (1955). Frustrated by being typecast, he retired from acting in the 1960's and turned his interest to directing. He had directed several movies and was most recognized as a TV-movie director.
