Brandy
Chapter Thirteen
As morning dawned, it also brought a problem for the Scoobies. And none of
them knew what to do. The kids all had classes and none of the group knew
anything about what this school taught. Willow sat on the stairs that
lead toward the towers.
"Hey Red, what's wrong? You look like someone told you your dad could Tango." Came the rather cheery voice of Faith. Willow scoffed at her friend's humor.
"We have a problem. We don't know what to do for the kid's classes. How
do we put this time to good use, Faith?" Faith understood exactly what
Willow was saying. If these kids didn't have any classes, how were they
suppose to be prepared for a fight. The two girls sat in silence for a few
minutes, until Xander came running out in the hall. And on his tail was Lavender
Brown. Xander came running up to the girls and hid behind Willow,
using her a shield of sorts, from the ever annoying Gryffindor. Faith and Willow
exchanged a look and nodded. They knew what they were going do. And they just
had to get everyone into the same room again.
Ron stood in the great hall, waiting for what ever Fatih and Willow had come
up with this time. Ron was confused because the two had told everyone to wear
what they wore for dance class. And this is the reason why he was in a pair of
blue sweat pants and a white shirt. Dawn stood beside Ron in a pair of red sweat
pants and a black tanktop. She had her hair up in a high ponytail. She looked
every ounce the average teenager. Ron had a
sinking feeling she knew what was coming. And beside her was the rest of their
little group. Harry and Ginny were talking quietly, and the twins were trying to
get Lee to eat a peice of Ton Tongue Toffee. Some of the scoobies sat on the
steps that led to where the staff table normally sat. Xander walked in and shut
the door to the Great Hall. He exchanged a look with Willow.
Willow stood up walking down the steps and; as she looked around to the students, and some not students, she proclaimed, "I don't know what today holds. I don't know what tomorrow will bring. For all I know, we will be attending the funerals of our families and loved ones in the next few days. But I do know that if Lord Pain-in-the-butt gets past the parents and elders of the wizarding world, then it's up to us. And I know that it may not sound like a great plan, but we will be ready. I'm gonna guess that not one of the Daeth Eaters know a thing about real fighting. Not with Magic, but with fists. And that is what we are gonna do, teach you hand to hand."
"Um, Willow?" A voice said off to Willow's side. She turned and grinned. There, standing beside his cousin, was Justin. With his hand raised.
"You know, Justin. We may be in a school, but you don't have to raise your hand. It's ok."
Justin grinned back at her with what can only be called an angelic grin.
"You're wrong." he said.
Willow looked slightly offended. "And what am I wrong about, MR. Malfoy?"
"When you say that there's not a Death Eater that knows Hand to hand, I know of at least one. My father."
"And my father." A small voice piped up.
Willow stood and stared from one Malfoy to the other. "Okay, you two know how to fight hand to hand, that's good. So, lets see who will be the first to spar."
"I didn't say WE knew how to fight hand to hand, I said OUR fathers did." Justin replied, trying to get Willow to understand that the two elder Malfoys were not two guys she wanted to upset.
Willow glared at Justin and then stared at Draco. She stepped forward and pulled Justin to a cornor of the room. Far out of everyone's hearing, even Angel's.
"What are you talking about? Your dads know how to fight hand to hand. Didn't they teach you?"
"It's true, our dads know how to fight hand to hand, but they didn't like to teach it to us. They liked using it on us."
It took all of a few seconds for Willow to fully understand what Justin was telling her. She glanced from Justin to Draco and back again. And that second, Willow knew what was gonna happen next. She walked from the cornor to stand in front of Draco, looking him straght in the eyes.
He looked right back at her and she saw all the pain and saddness in his eyes from years of not being loved by his dad. She turned and informed the others that Draco was to be the first one to learn hand to hand.
"And what if I refuse? What if I want the Potty to get killed?" Came the snide remark from Draco.
Willow turned to look at him and sighed, the boy could be really stubborn.
"Look, I'm gonna ignore the fact that you just said you want my cousin
dead, but if YOU want to serve this Draco, then you are gonna have to
learn this."
Draco looked from Willow to Justin. And Justin nodded his approval.
Draco sighed in defeat, it was like the two of them were ganging up on him. He truly had no choice in the matter.
"OW! Let go, Hermione!" the shrill cry was heard over all the other noises in the room. Harry stopped and watched as two figures went flying on the floor. Well, one did, the other just attacked. Ron was doing his impression of a gold fish and the twins were laughing at the sight.
Buffy walked over and was shocked to see Hermione really whaling on Pansy Parkinson. The Slytherin Princess was getting her royal behind whipped by the gutsy Gryffindor.
Draco was watching with excitment showing in his silver eyes. He had always wanted someone to do that to the little tart. And now, it was Hermione that was doing it. He smiled and thought back to the day he realized he had fallen for the bushy haired girl. It had been a year ago at the Yuall Ball when she had walked into the Great Hall with Krum. It was like a shock to Draco, all the teasing he had done to her and it had taken a dance to make him relize that he liked her.
"Well, that is bloody funny. I would pay to see that go on. Go, Hermione!" Draco shouted as he took in the fight.
Angel walked over and picked up the bruntte off of the girl. He shoved Pansy, who had regained her footing, over to Goyle, and handed Hermione over to Ron and Harry. His gaze bore down on the two girls and he asked, "What is going on?"
Pansy was steamed as she proclaimed, pointing to Hermione. "Ask her! She is the one who started it. Stupid Mudblood."
"You deserved it! You no-good, pug dog looking, wish Draco would sleep with you tramp." Hermione scremed back.
Harry and Ron burst out laughing at Hermione's statement. And Draco was torn between laughing and gagging at the thought of Pansy in a romantic way.
Xander turned to Justin and said, "I better go get Wills, she is not gonna be happy with this." and he made to leave but Justin stopped him and replied, "Let me." And he walked over to the room now occupied by the redhead.
Willow was in the staff room, which was at the moment being used as a sort of nursury for the younger kids. And Willow was the babysitter at the moment. She loved kids she just didn't love the things that they did. They did the craziest stuff.
Willow laid the last baby on a mat on the floor. She had finally been able to get all of them to sleep. They had been a little hard to get to sleep and now all she wanted to do was curl up and go to sleep along side them herself. The last few days had been draining on the girl and to top it off she didn't now whether or not her father and Giles was alive or not. Sighing, Willow laid beside the last baby she had put to sleep and slowly dreamland was all around her.
Justin made his way into the room and saw Willow asleep on the floor. He watched her sleep knowing better than to wake her.
"She may just punch you if you are too close to her. And Justin?" came a voice from behind the blonde man.
Justin turned to see Xander standing behind him. "Yeah?"
Xander looked straight at the man who was kneeling over his best friend and he knew he could make what he was about to say nice, but he wanted Justin to know he was serious about what he was gonna say.
"You hurt her and I will beat you with a shovel and then feed you to Angel."
And with that he walked out.
