Return of HsLab Logger
I'm using the HsLab Logger to record my web use again. I won't use the logger when going to my art sites or any site with my personal identity info or that of anyone associated with me. And you guys saw this added today in the introduction on the main page. Well actually you guys are probably seeing it as I'm keying it in.
The logs may sometimes be in more than one part because I don't want to append the logs manually after turning off the PC in between logging. That's too much editing. As I said I don't want to make it look like I'm editing my web activity other than removing my name from them.
I guess I could reinstall my XP OS and not use my name in the reinstallation. But ATT needs my name for the ISP services. That may be where HsLab picks up my name. Or somewhere else. Anyway I as mentioned in the introduction I don't know how to suppress my name from showing up in the HsLab weblogs. And I don't like having to edit the logs at all. But I'll have to in order to keep my name off them.
Racy Posts and Porn
If chat or postings get racy on the net I'll have to watch what I say when it comes to sexual topics since I'll post all of that in the logs. Except I'll take out my name from the logs or simply not post any logs with anyone's personal identity info. I probably won't go to porn sites anymore but if I do, and I may, I'll post all of the logs for them since porn sites are not going to have my personal ID info in any form that the HsLab Logger will record. Again the HsLab Logger is not a key logger.
Stand Up Origami
I'm going to start making another kind of art tonight. Origami. I'll set up Origami Stations in the condo. Like Origami Station 1 and 2 and so on. I'll have three or four set up. Some will be where I stand up to make the paper art forms and at least one sit down station. I don't want to be sitting down on my rear everyhere I do art or computer artwork. Need a little exercise indoors. I'll have a different set of Origami instructions from the web at each station with paper to fold. The stations will be on dresser tops or table tops.
Finding Dad
So today I was driving to meet my dad and we passed each other on Miramar Road. And as soon as that happened I pictured you guys saying "Whoa they went right by each other" as you guys were monitoring the movement of our cars via the cell gps devices you guys installed under my car and my dad's car. And of course you guys must have been thinking my dad and I didn't know where each other was as we passed going opposite directions. Likewise as I turned south on Camino Santa Fe you guys probably thought I didn't see my dad's car and that I would continue on home. And that I'd again be miles away from him while still trying to find him. And he'd be in the same situation. We didn't know we were apporaching each other and he didn't see me as we passed.
He doesn't have a cell phone and as you guys know from monitoring our phones the messages he left on my condo land line phone were garbled when I played them back from my cell phone in my car this morning. These were calls we were making to try to find each other. He probably called from a pay phone and that's why the messages were garbled. So I couldn't tell from the messages where he wanted to meet me after he didn't show up for the scheduled meeting this morning.
As you guys know Camino Santa Fe north from Miramar Road is one of the ways I take to return home. And you guys noticed I made the U turn on Camino Santa Fe and headed back to follow my dad to his apartment. Darn right I noticed my dad's purple car going by me.
Mobile Communications
Which brings to mind how you guys talk to or notify your drivers when they go by me at intersections I'm nearing. It could be with text messages or other means in addition to voice. But even with text I can imagine you guys saying to the drivers "Ok slow down a bit, alright now speed up some. Ah yes you did it. Good job." That's when your vehicles nail it and pass through an intersection just as I'm approaching it or stopped at it. I wouldn't normally post about how I think you guys sound or text while directing your drivers. But when my dad and I passed each other today I had to bring it up.
The Freeways
Ok now for the freeway, the 805. You guys noticed I stayed off it this morning and I avoid freeways sometimes. There are times when the freeway is about the only practical way to go like when I had to go to those art class field trips to La Jolla, Balboa Park and the Printing Industry Association convention at the Convention Center in downtown San Diego, all about 2 weeks ago. Well for the last two I don't think I took the freeways. I went on the side roads. Something different. Besides I generally avoid the freeways for a change of pace after leaving the courier job which had me sick of freeways all day long.
Long Road to Dad
So back to the 805 this morning. I went around it using up all that time to meet my dad. I'm staying off the freeways in general for a change of pace and scenery.
The Road to College
And as you guys know the side roads are a shorter route than the 15 freeway to get to college from my condo. Whether the side roads use more gas from all the stop lights I don't know. I'd have to drive the 15 to college for some days in a row while topping off the gas tank a few times to figure it out. Wouldn't that make a nice little science project to determine which way saves more gas if you guys ever made this whole thing public and my route to college became an issue?
Still Busy
The reason for me resuming the logger thing is not because it may appear I have nothing to do after finishing all my college assignments early for this session of classes ending March 14. Yes all the college artwork you guys saw me making in the condo was to complete it early so I wouldn't be rushing at the last minute. And to have some free time for the last week or two of the mod (group of classes).
Removing My Name from Web Logs
I always wanted to use a web logger at home but as I first mentioned last year I couldn't find any good loggers that wouldn't record my name or other personal identity information. And as said earlier I balked at editing logs to avoid the appearance of tampering with them. But I decided this week if I explain clearly I'm only editing out my name then I'd go ahead and post the HsLab logs.
Blog Modified
On 9 Mar 08 I made minor content changes to these comments. There were to make things more understandable like when my dad and I passed each other mentioned above. And making other paragraphs more readable.
And subheadings were added on 14 Mar 08.
