Masks and Their Uses



The Postman's Hat:
This allows you to open mailboxes in clocktown, you will get a piece of heart the first time and a green ruppee every other time.

The All Night Mask:
Listen the Anju's Grandmother's stories and you won't fall asleep. Answer the question she gives you honestly and you'll get a heart piece for each story.

The Blast Mask:
Can be used as a bomb, but will hurt you if you do not hold out your sheild when you use it.

The Stone Mask:
This mask makes you invisible to all enemies except the living dead ones and bosses. This is a great mask for sneaking around in the pirates fortress.

The Great Fairy's Mask:
Attracts faries to link (so he can collect them) and emits sparks when there are faries nearby.
Usefulness: Required

The Keaton Mask:
There are three areas where plants will move if you attack them (North Clock Town, Milk Road, and Mountain Village). After they're gone Keaton will appear and ask you a few questions. Answer them as best you can to get a heart piece.

The Bremen Mask:
You can march with the mask and get chickens and dogs to follow you. Get ten small chicks to follow you to get the bunny mask.

The Bunny Hood:
When Link has this mask on he can run much faster and jump further. When you play the postman's timing game, you the timer never goes away (I beat it without the bunny hood on my 1st though)

Don Gero's Mask:
You can talk to frogs with the mask. Gather all five frogs in the game and you'll get a heart piece (Note: Must be done in one cycle)

Mask of Scents:
You can see magic mushrooms in the Woods of Mystery as purple smoke. Bottle them and bring them to Kotake and she'll make you a blue potion

Romani's Mask:
This mask makes you a member of the Milk Bar Latte during operation hours, 10pm to 6am.

Circus Leader's Mask
The Gorman Brothers won't attack you while you're helping Cremia deliver milk to the bar. But to get this mask you must complete this event without it, so it's really quite pointless

Kafei's Mask
Talk to Anju after you check into the Stock Pot Inn to start and extremely long side quest.

Couple's Mask:
Talk to the mayor while there is a huge quarrel in his room (10am to 6pm daily) to make everyone settle down and you will receive a heart piece.

Mask of Truth:
You can talk to gossip stones with this mask on and talk to dogs in the dog race track.

Kamaro's Mask:
At night in West Clock town you can use this mask to teach the rosa sisters a dance and receive a heart piece.

Gibdo Mask:
Gibdos and Redeads will ignore you and you can talk to the Gibdos at the bottom of the well in Ikana Village

Garo's Mask
The watch man on the cliff in Canyon Pass will give you a hookshot target if you talk to him with this mask on
Usefulness: Reqired

The Captain's Hat:
With this hat you can give stalchildren demands. In the graveyard you can make them open graves
Usefulness: Required

The Giant's Mask:
Can only be used during Twin Mold Boss Battle but it makes Link 20 times larger. It gradually saps magic power so be aware.

Deku Mask:
Transforms Link into a Deku
Usefulness: Required

The Goron Mask:
Turns Link into a Goron
Usefulness: Required

Zora Mask:
Turns Link into a Zora
Usefulness: Required

Fierce Deity's Mask
To get this mask, you must get all 23 masks, and give them away to four children in the end. It's extremely tough, but totally worth it. It transforms Link into a full grown warrior with a sword at least 10 times more powerful than the Gilded Sword. Use it against Majora at the end to beat it in less than 5 minutes. I've killed Majora with it and not gotten touched.
