Tips for
the
Ocarina of Time
-
Use your sheild when you're in a tough battle situation.
Sometimes it gives you the protection you need to wait so you
can get a good whack at your opponent.
- When trying to find your way through the lost woods
for the first time, come up to a log tunnel and listen for
music. Ones with music lead to the right path.
- Are you always getting killed while
facing a certain boss? Stock up on faries before battling.
- Every dungeon has something
specail that you need to complete it (i.e., Fairy bow, fairy
slingshot, megaton hammer, boomerang etc.).
- The
water temple is the most confusing, and most annoying temple
you'll ever face in any zelda game. You won't have a chance
of beating it if you don't have the compass, dungeon map,
and a lot of free time.
- Playing some
of the mini games will help you along the way. You can get heart pieces,
bigger quivers, bomb bags, seed bags, free bombchus, and lots of
rupees. If you sell all four masks, you can get the mask of truth and
talk to the gossip stones to get other tips.
- Do everything in order. Deku Tree, Dodango's Cavern,
Jabu-Jabu, Temple of Time, Forest Temple, Fire Temple, Water Temple,
Shadow Temple, Spirit Temple, then Gannon's Castle. It's a huge pain to
have to repeat things.
- As annoying as
Navi is, and as much as you want to stick your sword in her and never have to
listen to her say "HEY!!!!" again, when your stuck, play Saria's song, don't
talk to Saria, and Navi will ask you to talk to her. Try and make sense out of
her so called advice.
- When you fight
Gannon and Gannondorf (two different forms), you'll have a very tough time
beating them without a light arrow. Remember though, they take up twice the
magic that fire and ice arrows do, so stock up on magic.
