Content: A lyric dialogue form, describes Saddam’s thoughts between himself and an unknown Babylon woman (possibly his mistress, Samira Shahbandar).

3. The ointment of aloe soothes when poured forth up on my back.
4. There are no virgins round the King. “We will be glad!” he reminds us when we are brought to his chamber. We are filled with wine for rejoicing.
5. I am brown as all the daughters of Babylon. My hair is as the color of the sun, with roots the color of unprocessed oil from the earth.
6. My husband is angry with me because of my love for my King. His kindness allows me to keep the horses stalls as no other.
7. Tell me, O thou King, whom keeps me from rest from the sun rise to the midnight moon, why should I be turned aside for the flock of other companions? They are she-dogs compared to me!
