On Cat's Feet
by Michael Terry
On cat's feet it travels,
Silent as a ghost,
Often spreading freedom
Everywhere it goes.
Always growing and moving
Through the human mind,
Searching for the ways
To prevent its decline.
Founding nations and policies,
Causing endless wars,
All the while healing
Other nations sores.
This great force called knowledge
Seldom knows defeat
Never suffering disappointment
Or loss by full retreat.
