The players are all playing Gaian Garou who are part of the Northern Lights Pack. The pack originally was formed to be the European Rapid Response Pack. Garou numbers are dwindling and many caerns cannot spare sept members from the duties of defending their caern. The players were among those submitted for the pack: the excess, the unwanted, the homeless.
The pack originally had a pack liaison, a Shadow Lord named Oberon, who coordinated their efforts. He began to side with the pack in disputes, and after an incident with a meteor fragment he was recalled and replaced with a fierce and unlikable Shadow Lord Ahroun called Captain Kirovsk. They managed to lose Kirovsk when he helped some Freebooters set up an unofficial caern in Prague. The pack later learned of Oberon's whereabouts - being 'debriefed' by his tribe - and rescued him. He now acts as their Publicity Officer, and financial backer, thanks to his web of contacts. More information on Oberon and Kirovsk can be found on the Caern's page, and the Stories page
Gandalf Stein
Played by Rick, Gandalf is an American Silver Fang Ahroun. Brash, annoying and living up to the American stereotype held by Europeans, he had a notoriety among the Garou. Fortunately his desire to be free from meddling parents (including Garou mother Crystal), went hand in hand with his sept's desire to be rid of him.
Gandalf is pack leader, and through the campaign has been losing his brash streak to replace it with something resembling good leadership. He is also the wielder of the Soul Spear. The spear was recovered from the body of Wind Runner, a Silent Strider, and contains the stored wisdom of its past owners. After much negotiation, the Silent Striders have allowed Gandalf to wield the spear, on the proviso that it returns to their Casablanca caern on his death.
Alex "Snowroarer" Macintyre
Played by Tim, Alex is a Scottish Child of Gaia. Though a Philodox by auspice, Alex is burned out, so often resorts to pragmatic diplomacy and his silvered claymore "Greymalkin". Alex's background is shrouded in mystery, and he seems to have a great destiny, but his Scottish nationality and his pure white fur in Crinos form, have led to rumours that he may be of pure (uncorrupted) White Howlers stock!
Alex is an excellent diplomat when he is inspired to be, and has negotiated with Vampires, Bastet, Fey, and even gotten the pack out of inter-tribe strife. His contact with other races is making him wonder if the Garou are really the good guys. Treachery from Glass Walkers, and Garou politicking are not helping his slide towards Harano.
Xacorey Tatsukoh
Played by Jason, Xac is a Glass Walker Theurge from Japan. Xac's mother was exiled from Green Turtle Caern for creating Xac - a Metis. He decided to stay with her rather than his father, and travelled to Germany, where he joined the pack. Xac is very proficient with technological spirits, but has problems in the wild. This has been somewhat overcome with a Fetish that provides a link to civilisation.
Xac often keeps to the background, stepping into the limelight to thwart Umbral problems facing the pack. He is on good terms with Glass Walker HQ, but this may have been strained by recent developments in Canada. He is also working on plans for a fetish of his own design.
Valerius
Played by Robert, Valerius is a new addition to the pack. He is a Japanese Silent Strider Galliard from Xac's old sept. Valerius is currently suffering from amnesia, but flashes have allowed him to learn that he is the only surviving member of the Silver Pack. Evidence points to them trying to re-open a caern in Hawaii, and failing. Valerius was found in a mental institution in Hawaii, having nightmares about flames. A recent trip to an Uktena caern has opened more of his memories.
He is currently seconded to the pack unofficially until the full details of the Silver Pack's fate is discovered
(NOTE: Robert is newer to Werewolf than the other players who have played since 1st edition. As such, he is learning as Valerius is learning, under the guidance of experienced packmates)
Guiseppe (Deceased)
Played Colin, Guiseppe was a monkey-wrencher and political activist in Italy, before he joined the pack. A Glass Walker Galliard, he had considerable skills in demolitions and infiltration. He would often argue the humane course of action, and this put him in regular conflict with Gandalf, who always wanted the simplest solution.
Unfortunately Guiseppe always got too involved with his projects, and when he was present at the fall of New York's Central Park caern he blamed himself, succumbed to Harano and committed suicide.
Konrad (Missing in Action)
Played by Lee, little is known of Konrad. A Bone Gnawer by birth, Konrad kept to himself, and would often disappear for months without word. He appears to have ties with some feral vampires in former Yugoslavia, but his current location is unknown. Veiled threats from Canadian Glass Walkers seem to suggest they know where is is, and may have been involved in his disappearance.
"Laughs in Shadows" aka Max (Missing in Action)
Played by Joe, Laughs, a Silent Strider Ragabash, ran with the pack for a few months. He was a source of randomness in an ordered pack. Laughs is also missing, and was mentioned in the same threats as Konrad.
