Changes When the Prophetic Program Resumes

Nancy Paulson

Many of us have recognized that a change has taken place and God is no longer dealing with us as under the law but under grace. Because of this change, we go to the writings of the Apostle Paul for our instructions today. We recognize the distinctiveness of Paul's message.

In the age to come, Israel also, will have a need to recognize from which writings they will need to get their instruction. When God starts His dealings with the nation of Israel again it will no longer be on the basis of the Old Testament writings. God will not deal with them according to the Old Testament and the Law of Moses but in accordance to what Christ has accomplished through His death and resurrection. Their new instructions are found in Hebrews through Revelation.

The death, burial and resurrection of Christ brought changes for the prophetic program. The major change is that of the priesthood and with that a change of the Law.

Hebrews 7:12 For the priesthood being changed there is made of necessity a change also of the law.

When the prophetic program resumes the nation of Israel will have to choose which system they will follow, the Old or the New; with the continuation of the prophectic program comes the temptation to go back to the old way of worship.
