My passion for reading, research, history, and travel ultimately led to an interest in GENEALOGY. Tracing our ancestors Westward has been an interesting journey. I hope the information I've compiled will spark the interest of generations, present and future, so that they will continue the search.
Family records on these pages will eventually include VAUGHANs from Ireland/Wales, EHRENHARDTs /ARNHARTs from Germany, CALLICOTTs and CARLETON/CARLTONs from England, SULLIVANs and MCCOMBSs from Ireland, SNODGRASSs from Scotland, and JONTEs from France. These families lived in the states of VA, NC, WV, TN, KY, MO, and TX. Other surnames are BEVERS, CHURCH, FOX, HAMMONS, KEY, SMITH, and TRUE.
Our favorite pastime is traveling, playing video poker in Vegas & Laughlin, and collecting Southwest Arts and Crafts. I also enjoy reading, doing genealogical and travel research, practicing with my WinPoker computer software, and working on crafts projects using beads & paint. My favorite books are "Lightning" by Dean Koontz and "Last of the Breed" (non-Western) by Louis Lamour. David is a fossil hunter/collector, enjoys reading and T.V., collects sports memorabilia, and works on craft projects - primarily with wood and paint.
I still love playing video poker however during the past year I've become "addicted" to Texas Hold 'Em. This summer while we were in Vegas I played everyday in the card room at Sam's Town. Since we returned to Dallas I play at PokerStars.com on the internet. |
