BEACON HILL BROWNIES
(Yield: 2 dozen)

8 1-ounce squares unsweetened chocolate
1 cup butter or margarine
5 eggs
3 cups sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1½ cups self-rising flour
2 cups chopped walnuts

Preheat oven to 375°F.  Spray a 13x9-inch baking pan with non-stick vegetable spray.

In a medium saucepan, over low heat, melt chocolate with butter, stirring constantly until mixture is smooth.  Remove from heat.

In a large mixing bowl, beat eggs, sugar, and vanilla until thick and lemon-colored.  Gradually blend in chocolate mixture.  Stir in flour until just blended.  Pour into prepared baking pan.

Bake 35 to 40 minutes.  Cool in pan on a wire rack.  Cut into bars or squares.
