BEST CHOCOLATE SYRUP BROWNIES
(Yield: 16 servings)

½ cup butter or margarine, softened
1 cup sugar
3 eggs
1 cup self-rising flour
¾ cup chocolate-flavored syrup
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
¾ chopped walnuts
Confectioners' sugar

Preheat oven to 350°F.  Spray a 9x9-inch baking pan with non-stick vegetable spray.

In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.  Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.  Stir in flour until well blended.  Add chocolate syrup, vanilla, and walnuts; stir until well blended.  Pour into prepared baking pan; smooth top.

Bake for 35 minutes or until a tester inserted in the center comes out clean.  Cool in pan on wire rack.  Dust with confectioners' sugar; cut into squares.
