CARAMEL COOKIES
(Yield: 6 dozen)

1 cup butter or margarine, softened
1¾ cups sugar
1 tablespoon condensed milk
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup flaked coconut
2 cup corn flakes
2 cups self-rising flour

Preheat oven to 350°F.  Lightly spray cookie sheets.

In a large mixing bowl, cream butter, sugar, and condensed milk until light and fluffy.  Add egg and vanilla; beat until well blended.  Stir in coconut, corn flakes, and flour until well blended.  Drop by teaspoonfuls on prepared cookie sheets.

Bake 15 minutes or until lightly browned.  Remove from cookie sheets; cool on wire rack.
