CHOCOLATE BROWNIES
(Yield: 2 dozen)

2 1-ounce squares unsweetened chocolate
½ cup butter or margarine
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
2 eggs
½ cup self-rising flour
1 cup chopped walnuts

   Preheat oven to 325°F.  Spray a 9x9-inch baking pan with non-stick vegetable spray.

In a large saucepan, stirring constantly, melt chocolate.

In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.  Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.  Stir in chocolate, then flour.  Fold in walnuts.  Pour into prepared baking pan.

Bake for 25 minutes.  Cool on wire rack.  Cut into bars.
