CHOCOLATE
CHIP COOKIES III
(Yield: 3½ dozen)
1 cup butter or margarine, softened
½ cup sugar
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
2 eggs, lightly beaten
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 cups self-rising flour
2 cups semisweet chocolate morsels
1 cup chopped nuts
Preheat oven to 375°F.
In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy;
beat in eggs and vanilla. Stir in flour until well blended.
Stir in chocolate morsels and nuts. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls,
2-inches apart, onto UNGREASED baking sheets.
Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from baking
sheets; cool on a wire rack.
