CHOCOLATE CHUNK COOKIES
(Yield: 3 dozen)

2/3 cup butter or margarine, softened
2/3 cup sugar
1/3 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1½ self-rising flour
1 cup semisweet chocolate chunks
1 cup chopped walnuts
½ cup golden raisins

Preheat oven to 350°F.  Lightly spray cookie sheets with non-stick vegetable spray.

In a large mixing bowl, beat butter, sugars, eggs, and vanilla until light and fluffy.  Beat in flour.  Stir in chocolate chunks, walnuts, and raisins.  Drop by heaping tablespoonfuls onto prepared cookie sheets.

Bake for 17 minutes or until tops of cookies look dry.  Cool for 5 minutes.  Remove from cookie sheets; cool completely on a wire rack.
