OATMEAL CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES
(Yield: 5 dozen)

1 cup butter or margarine, softened
1¼ cups firmly packed brown sugar
½ cup sugar
2 eggs, lightly beaten
2 tablespoons milk
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1¾ cups self-rising flour
2½ cups rolled oats
2 cups semisweet chocolate morsels
1 cup chopped pecans

Preheat oven to 375°F.

In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy.  Add eggs, milk, and vanilla; beat well.  Add flour; mix well.  Stir in oats, chocolate morsels, and pecans.  Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto UNGREASED cookie sheets.

Bake 9 to 10 minutes.  Cool for 1 minute on cookie sheets; remove to a wire rack and cool completely.
