OATMEAL-RAISIN COOKIES
(Yield: 2 dozen)

1¾ rolled oats
1-1/3 cups self-rising flour
2/3 cup raisins
½ cup chopped walnuts
¾ teaspoons ground cinnamon
½ teaspoon allspice
½ cup butter or margarine, softened
½ cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 egg, lightly beaten
1/3 cup milk

Preheat oven to 350°F.  Spray baking sheets with non-stick vegetable spray.

In a medium bowl, combine oats, flour, raisins, walnuts, and spices; set aside.

In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.  Beat in egg.  Add oatmeal mixture alternately with milk, stirring until well blended after each addition.  Drop heaping tablespoonfuls, 1-inch apart, on prepared baking sheets.

Bake for 15 minutes or until lightly browned.  Cool on a wire rack.
