PEANUT BUTTER CHOCOLATE BARS III
(Yield: 3 dozen)

½ cup sugar
1/3 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/3 cup peanut butter
¼ cup butter or margarine, softened
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons water
1 egg, lightly beaten
1¼ cups self-rising flour
½ cup chopped peanuts
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 375°F.  Spray a 13x9-inch baking pan with non-stick vegetables.

In a large mixing bowl, beat together sugars, peanut butter, butter, and vanilla until smooth; beat in water and egg until light and fluffy.  Gradually stir in flour until well blended.  Stir in peanuts and chocolate chips.  Spread the dough evenly in the prepared baking pan.

Bake 20 to 25 minutes until lightly browned.  Cool in pan on a wire rack.  Cut into 2x1½-inch bars.
