PEANUT BUTTER COOKIES IV
(Yield: 4 dozen)

½ cup butter or margarine, softened
½ cup peanut butter
¾ cup sugar
1 egg, lightly beaten
3 tablespoons milk
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1¾ cups self-rising flour
½ cup chopped peanuts
¼ cup wheat germ

In a large mixing bowl, cream butter, peanut butter, and sugar until light and fluffy.  Beat in egg, milk, and vanilla until well blended.  Add flour and peanuts until well blended.  Divide dough in half; shape into 6-inch rolls.  Roll in wheat germ.  Wrap in plastic wrap; chill for 2 hours.

Preheat oven to 375°F.  Spray cookie sheets with non-stick vegetable spray.

Cut the dough into ¼-inch slices.  Place on prepared cookie sheets.

Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned.  Remove from cookie sheets; cool on a wire rack.
