PEANUT BUTTER SWIRL 
BROWNIES
(Yield: 16 brownies)

½ cup butter or margarine
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 cup self-rising flour
2 1-ounce squares unsweetened
     chocolate, melted and cooled
1/3 cup chunky peanut butter
¼ cup chopped peanuts

Preheat oven to 350°F.  Spray a 9x9-inch baking pan with non-stick vegetable spray.

In a medium saucepan, melt butter; remove from heat.  Stir in sugar and eggs; beat until just combined.  Stir in flour.  Remove ¾ cup of the batter; set aside.

Stir melted chocolate into the remaining batter.  Spread in prepared baking pan; set aside.

Stir peanut butter into the reserved batter.  Dollop on top of chocolate batter; sprinkle with peanuts.  With a knife; swirl the batter.

Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until brownies appear set on the surface.  Cool in pan on a wire rack.  Cut into squares.
