PUMPKIN-PECAN COOKIES
(Yield: 4 dozen)

½ cup butter or margarine, softened
1½ cups sugar
1 egg, lightly beaten
1-1/3 cups canned pumpkin
1½ teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
1¾ cups self-rising flour
½ cup raisins
½ cup chopped pecans
1 cup whole bran

Preheat oven to 375°F.  Spray large baking sheets with non-stick vegetable spray.

In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.  Beat in egg, pumpkin, and spice.  Stir in flour.  Stir in raisins, pecans, and bran.  Drop by tablespoonfuls, 2-inches apart, onto prepared baking sheets.

Bake 18 to 20 minutes or until golden brown.  Remove from baking sheets; cool on a wire rack.
