RAISIN FRUITY COOKIES
(Yield: 3½ dozen)

½ cup firmly packed brown sugar
½ cup shortening
¼ cup butter or margarine, softened
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup self-rising flour
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2½ cups Fruity Pebbles
2/3 cup raisins

Preheat oven to 350°F.  Spray cookie sheets with non-stick vegetable spray.

In a large mixing bowl, cream sugar, shortening and butter until light and fluffy.  Add egg and vanilla; beat well.  Add flour and cinnamon to the creamed mixture, blending well.  Stir in cereal and raisins.  Drop by level tablespoons onto prepared cookie sheets.

Bake 7 to 9 minutes or until lightly browned.  Let stand for 1 minutes.  Remove to a wire rack; cool completely.
