RAISIN RIBBON BARS
(Yield: 20 cookies)

½ cup butter or margarine, softened
2/3 cup firmly packed brown sugar
½ cup all-purpose flour
1½ cups rolled oats
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 cup raisins
½ cup strawberry jam

Preheat oven to 375°F.  Spray an 8-inch baking pan with non-stick vegetable spray.

In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.  Stir in flour, oats, and walnuts.  Reserve 1 cup of mixture for topping.  Press remaining mixture into prepared baking pan.

In a small bowl, combine raisins and jam.  Spread to within ½-inch of edges.  Sprinkle with reserved oat mixture; press lightly.

Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until lightly browned.  Cool in pan on a wire rack.  Cut into bars.
