RAVINE BROWNIES
(Yield: 9 servings)

2 1-ounce squares unsweetened chocolate
½ cup butter or margarine
1 cup sugar
2 eggs, well beaten
½ cup self-rising flour
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
½ cup chopped walnuts

Preheat oven to 350°F.  Spray an 8x8-inch baking dish with non-stick vegetable spray.

In a large saucepan, melt chocolate and butter; stir until mixture is smooth.  Cool thoroughly. 

Add sugar, eggs, flour, vanilla and walnuts to the chocolate mixture; beat until well blended.  Spread evenly in prepared baking dish.

Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out sticky but not doughy.  Cool on a wire rack.  Cut into squares.
