SOUR
CREAM DROP COOKIES
(Yield: 3½ dozen)
1/3 cup butter or margarine, softened
2 cups firmly packed brown sugar
2 eggs, lightly beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 cups self-rising flour
1 teaspoon allspice
½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
½ teaspoon ground ginger
2/3 cup sour cream
Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray baking sheets with non-stick
vegetable spray.
In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and brown sugar until light
and fluffy; beat in eggs and vanilla. In a medium bowl, combine flour
and spices; add alternately with sour cream to the creamed mixture, beating
well after each addition. Drop by teaspoonfuls, 1-inch apart, onto
prepared baking sheets.
Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until delicately browned.
